Adoption & Placement Services for
Golden Retrievers &
Labrador Retrievers
and other homeless dogs.
We
are a full-service rescue, with dogs coming to us from all over
the Southern California area for foster care services.
Retrievers and Friends of Southern California not only provides care for dogs while they are
waiting for adoption, but we provide follow-up assistance for
the life of the dog. Visit our
web site for more
information about our program! |
The Aggressive Canine
We see the same e-mail, and hear the same message on the
answering machine, many times each month: "My dog
has bitten my son's friend (or daughter, or neighbor) and I can't keep
him any more. He just needs a home with out kids or out on a farm
where I know he'll be happy." So what options are available to
families with dogs that snarl, growl and try to bite?

found a stray?
Many people contact rescue to ask them to take in a stray dog they
have found, hoping to eliminate a trip to the animal shelter where the
dog may be put to sleep if not reclaimed by the owner.
